Skagerak International School, Middle provides high quality, inquiry based learning, in a supportive and multicultural environment for students aged from 12 years to 16 years. We offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) for which we became authorized in February 2008.
Together with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) offered at Skagerak International School, Primary these are internationally recognised and respected programmes that form the foundation for the Diploma Programme (DP) which is currently being taught at Skagerak International School, High School.
At Skagerak International School, Middle we can offer the following:
· Teaching in units, based on topics, themes or issues
· Local and global perspectives
· Independent and small group learning
· Class sizes allow for individual attention
· Develop critical and creative thinking skills
· Inquiry, reflection and self-evaluation used
· Focus on research and investigation
· We help students activate and connect their knowledge to new ideas
· Questions are just as important as answers
· The process matters, not just the result
· Students learn how to learn
· Students are challenged, and we celebrate their achievements
