Skagerak International School, Primary and Kindergarten provides high quality, inquiry based learning, in supportive and multicultural environment for students aged from 4 years to 12 years (Kindergarten through to Grade 6). We offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate. In June 2006 we became the first school in Norway to become authorized to run the PYP. The Middle School received its authorisation to offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in February 2008.
These are internationally recognised and respected programmes. They form the foundation for the IB Diploma Programme which is currently being taught at Skagerak International School, the High School.
At Skagerak International School, Primary and Kindergarten we aim to:
- promote curiosity and creativity in an environment that is supportive, stimulating and challenging
- provide a well balanced curriculum that focuses on concepts, skills, attitudes, action and knowledge
- develop and promote mutual respect amongst all members of our community
