Skagerak International School founded in 1991, is a vibrant school located in the picturesque coastal town of Sandefjord, only 90 minutes from Oslo.The school is an IB World School offering the IB curriculum from Kindergarten all the way through to High School. The student population amounts to about 380 students from a diverse range of nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. Our well-qualified and experienced staff are also equally international and dynamic. Together we are Skagerak International School.

The High School (grades 10-12) has about 150  students and offers both a PreDP and Norwegian National Programme (Vg1) in grade 10 and the IB Diploma Programme (grades11-12). We are an accredited member of CIS and ECIS.


Norsklærer

Vi kan nå til by en 100% stilling som lærer i norsk litteratur og norsk som andre språk. Vi søker en kvalifisert norsklærer med erfaring fra videregående skole. Du bør kunne utrykke deg godt både skriftlig og muntlig på engelsk.

Vi kan tilby

  • små elevgrupper med nær oppfølging av den enkelte elev.

Substitute Primary school teacher

Substitute: Instruct children in grades 1 through 6 when a full time teacher is absent for part or full days. Detailed job description, and salary information available upon request.

We are searching for friendly, flexible applicants fluent in Norwegian and/or English and have previous experience teaching in a primary school classroom.

General requirements:

  • Recognized teacher training/certification
  • High level of English/communication competence
  • High level of Norwegian/communication competence (for Norwegian position)
  • Police Clearance

Preferred candidates will also have

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent specialist tertiary training in the Norwegian language (for Norwegian position)
  • Experience teaching in international schools and/or training and experience
  • Interest and motivation to work in a high-performing, internationally-minded organization
  • Personal transportation
  • Flexibility to teach different grade levels and subjects (i.e. music, physical education, information technology)
