Individual and group counselling
University Guidance at Skagerak offers individual and group counselling to students in order to provide them with guidance and support through the whole university application process. The process starts at Pre-DP level when students choose the subjects they wish to study at Diploma level. At this stage students are guided through several career profiles which help students identify their interests and strengths in order to explore potential career and subject options.
Understanding Requirements
For those in the Diploma programme the role of university guidance is to keep students informed about the requirements for tertiary study, the latest trends, the wide variety of courses on offer and the whole university application process. Visits by a wide range of university representatives and other organisations are arranged throughout the academic year allowing students to make valuable contact with admission officers. Workshops and other events are frequently organised to better prepare students for the planning of their future.
University guidance counsellor
For students who wish to discuss their career and study options it is possible to set up an appointment or just drop into the guidance office. The university guidance counsellor at Skagerak International School, High School is Yvonne Folan.
